Olympic Distractions

Posted: 31 Jul 2012 08:31 PM PDT

I am so distracted by the Olympics tonight, that I can barely focus enough to write this post!

Because you can’t go anywhere or do anything without hearing who won, I already know the results of my two favorite competitions this evening (gymnastics and swimming), but I still personally think that watching the events on television might change the already announced results!

So my big race?

Can I even do 10 miles?

It’s the Sea Legs Shuffle in Guilford, CT this Sunday.

And it’s a TEN (10) mile race!

I don’t know if I’m ready for 10 miles! If it was a 10K, that would be a very different story.

Ten miles is scary!

Regardless, I want to try! I don’t care if I walk, if I finish in 4 hours or if I need to be carried to the finish line. I just want to finish!

So I plan to make my final decision on Friday about the Shuffle this weekend. But I am leaning towards participating.

If I don’t, please don’t judge me! Okay, you can … just a little!

Today: 4.5 miles.
Weekly: 8 miles.
Yearly: 418.22 miles.
