Virginie & I are kind of stuck in between two places right now: our old apartment and our new apartment. We keep moving back and forth, so cooking is out of the question. We've been eating out more than usual, but we are trying to make healthy choices. This morning we went to The Elgin Street Dinner, a very popular place at 3AM. It was a different crowd at 8AM, that's for sure. I ordered the breakfast special and I changed it around for an egg, ham and tomato open sandwich. Delicious.

And then, we scrubbed, for 3 hours straight. Windows, walls, furniture, closets, doors... I underestimated how much work had to be put in when you are moving into a new place. I didn't realize it took so much time. It is definitely worth it for me to change places though. It's a lot more beautiful & a lot less expensive. Here is my room once again, just because I love it.

When our stomachs started growling, we knew it was time for lunch. We headed out in our new neighborhood and looked for a good place to eat. Our choice ended up being Lieutenant's Pump. You know in How I met your Mother, how they have their own special bar? Well I want that pub to be my own special bar. It's so cool and cozy! Virginie & Jessica had a orange, strawberry, candied pecans on bed of spinach salad and I got the grilled veggie salad. Everything was good and affordable.

One thing that is not affordable though is eating out all the time. I can't wait to be finally settled in, to go do my groceries and cook my own food. We have a little fruit market two streets across from our place and I can't wait to go there. They have all the essentials, so it will be easy to eat healthy for cheap! Everything is slowly starting to come together. I am very happy about it. I know it sounds silly but moving out of the "dorms" makes me feel like I am finally an adult. I don't feel like a kid anymore. It's very strange but nice at the same time.

My mom is coming tonight and tomorrow we are hitting up Ikea and Costco. Now, time to go pack up some plates!
