A Merry Life

Oh hey, I crossed something else off my NZ bucket list when I visited Wellington over the weekend!

It’s a very cool city and I loved seeing as much of it as we could in 1.5 days. (For the record: not enough time.)

One of my favorite thing was how many lookouts there are around the city. Since Wellington is in and surrounded by mountains you have a ton of chances to get above the site and look down.

These photos are from the entrance to the Botanic Gardens where the Wellington Cable Car takes you to the top. However my favorite lookout was Mount Victoria. Kepa’s cousins took us up there at night and it was a very impressive view with all the lights.

We walked a ton and managed to do quite a bit of touristy stuff like visiting museums and going on a tour at Parliament. It completely satisfied my inner history nerd.

I’ll be posting more about Wellington later but I just wanted to share these photos and say what a great weekend it was. I’m crossing more things off my New Zealand bucket list while I have a chance. I’ve got two months left on my current visa and I’m going to make the most of it!
