| AWESOME Bum Toning Exercise!

Whether this is your first, second or third pregnancy, you do NOT have to let gravity take control of your body.
There ARE definitely some things that you CAN do to tone up your “trouble areas”. For me, because I’m a Pear Body Type (which over 50% of us women are!), I’m always aware of my lower body - whether or not my thighs rub together, whether my bum looks big, and so on. I started off walking, did the elliptical machine and even took up swimming (which is a great option for those of you who are suffering from sore joints!). But I knew cardio alone would NOT do the trick of keeping me toned. So I started doing light strength training exercises during my pregnancy.

My absolute FAVORITE exercise for toning my bum and thighs is the Bum Raises (or Gluteal Bridge) on the body ball. It’s a VERY easy exercise, but boy can you feel it!

To increase the intensity add 12 little pulses at the end of your set (do NOT lower your body beforehand). And if you still want more, keep your bum up and pretend to slowly squeeze a kids rubber ball 12 times after your little pulses (remember, do NOT lower your bum!).
Just a reminder, you may very well feel this exercise 24-48 hours after you do it because it’s so great. So DO make sure you stretch afterwards.
