• Virginie, a well known person on this blog, is coming over to my cottage tonight! I AM SO HAPPY!!!!!!!! She is staying here until tomorrow night. It's going to be AWESOME. Tomorrow we are going to go to Greenville for a delicious lunch and a delicious crêpe and we are going to shop a little, lounge on the docks, swim, etc. I have missed her so much.
  • Last week, there was a very interesting guy that came to the golf course. He was a photographer and he explained to me he was doing an independent documentary on Henry David Thoreau. He was so cool and I must say, attractive. I knew he sort of liked me, but he looked a little shy. He left without saying anything but I wasn't letting that happen. I wrote down my number and gave it to Paul, who was driving the shuttle off the island that day (which the guy had to take to get off of Kineo). That night, I got a phone call. And the next day a text. And another text which finally led to an invitation...  So Thursday, I have a date!
  • Happy Birthday to a dear friend that I miss. Hope all is going well in New Orleans buddy:

 

  • Talking about New Orleans... I have a week off from school in October and Sarah and I have planned it already. I am going to fly down to Orlando, then well spend the week in Tallahassee and then we'll bus down to New Orleans to see Andrew. I am so excited, but it's not 100% sure yet. I have to start saving & I have to find a job in September. But hopefully, it will happen!
  • I am really focusing on the whole weight loss thing. I talk less about it, because I have realized that it was clouding all my thoughts and judgments. Now, I just keep it to myself, write it down in my diary and I am learning to enjoy eating, eating when I am hungry, etc. Really, when you think about it, it's easy. No one is making you eat: you shove the food down your own mouth. You can choose to eat those M&M's or that cake, you know? And you can choose not too. So this is a day to day battle. I have good days, bad days, but mostly great ones. I am still losing weight with you guys. I have lost two pounds since starting again (insert happy face here).
  • I know most of you read this blog because you want to lose weight so don't worry, the healthy recipes, exercise posts and the dilemmas of weight loss will all come back soon. I just needed to take a step back and reevaluate it all.
