I did it. My first workout in, what, 3 weeks? And my first workout in Ottawa.
I woke up at 7 and I knew what I had to do. First, it was the scale, that read 180.8 pounds. Same as last week. Then, I strapped up in my shoes and I pretended I was ready to go.

I knew I wouldn't be able to run for an hour straight. No way. So what I did is intervals. I did 5 minutes of fast walking and then 5 minutes of running, for a total of an hour (so 6 intervals). It was kind of hard to be honest. My knees were a little wobbly and my cardio is not as great as it used to be, but I still did it. I pushed through. The hardest was the last 4 minutes. My watch read 56:32 and I wanted to give up right there. "Whatever, I still did 56 minutes, what does 4 minutes change?"
It changes everything. It was the hardest 4 minutes of my life, but when my watch switched from 59:59 to 1:00:01, that was the best feeling ever. I made myself a healthy breakfast after: oatmeal, a dollop of greek yogurt and green tea. I feel great.
